Free Sermon Evaluation Form – Get Help To Get Better

Free Sermon Evaluation Form

There is no such thing as a perfect sermon. No matter how much preaching experience you have, you can always improve. The best preachers are those who stay humble and hungry to get better.

How do you evaluate your sermons?

You can and should critique your own message, but I have found that the eyes of others are better at seeing problems that I have become blind to. So why not ask others to help you?

The most feedback that many pastors get is from usual people who say, “Good sermon,” at the door, or the few who send angry emails. This is why a sermon evaluation form is a great tool to help you grow and guide people to give you better feedback.

Recruit someone or a group of people to evaluate your sermon. Ask a mentor, other church staff, elders, your spouse, or someone you trust in the congregation. Then, give them the Sermon Evaluation Form to fill out in the service or while watching your video.

The key is to NOT get defensive. Check your pride at the door, and humbly listen to the feedback you receive.

Hope you find this as helpful as I have.
