Want To Join My Preaching Team?

Want to join my preaching team

I have an idea that I want to run by you.

Here’s the problem: most pastors are doing too much.

If you are like most pastors, you wear too many hats. You are the pastor, counselor, administrator, volunteer coordinator, fundraiser, evangelist, community service coordinator, janitor, Bible study leader, small group coordinator, website administrator, and graphic designer. It’s overwhelming.

You need more people on your team to help.

I can’t help you with everything, but I can help with preaching.

Every pastor deserves a preaching team.

So I have this idea that has been bouncing around my mind for days now, and I’m really excited about it.

Let me (and my dog) explain this idea.

What If We Started A Preaching Team?

What if we built a preaching team on Pro Preacher to help you with the preaching side of ministry so you can have more time to invest in other areas of ministry?

Here’s the idea: We put together a website that you can join for something stupid cheap, like $20 or $30 a month.

Once you join, you get access to an archive of resources, everything I’ve created so far on Pro Preacher (wedding sermons, funeral sermons, sermon calendars, and maybe even my courses and books).

Plus, we would create a new sermon series every month.

But unlike other sites, where you get a basic sermon graphics package based on whatever they decide to create, you would be involved in the process.

You would be able to cast your vote and give input about the topic or Bible passage that the next series will cover. You’d be able to provide feedback on titles, length, and other elements.

Then, I’ll use the money we have pooled together (if we get enough interest) and hire professional graphic designers to create graphics and videos for the series. I’ll also recruit professional research assistants to put together in-depth research notes for the topics and Bible passages. So you would get a ton of valuable information from the top commentaries, best books on the subject, and even great quotes and illustration ideas.

Then, we’ll put together detailed sermon outline ideas for each message, so you can adapt it to fit your style.

We won’t provide a word-for-word manuscript, because you can’t preach someone else’s sermon. I’ve tried. It doesn’t work. You have to make it your own. But we will lay the foundation and do the other work to set you up to win, based on your input.

How does that sound—a growing sermon library, training videos, and a new sermon series every month that you can help decide on, all for around $20-30 a month?

Would you be interested?

If so, here’s what I need from you: comment below to let me know. You can just write “interested” and post the comment to let me know.

This is going to take a lot of work and money from me upfront to get started. But I’m willing and excited to do that if there are enough people that want it.

If I get enough interest, I’ll be thrilled to start running full-speed with this. Just let me know.

If not, and this is just a crazy idea that nobody needs, let me know too, and I’ll invest my time and money to help you all in other ways.

So, are you interested?

Comment below to let me know.

Thanks!

  1. Yes, interested even though I’ve been preaching around 35 years, but it would have to be low cost. I am serving small church with very limited funds I can spare.

  2. That would be a great resource and if you can keep it at a lower price like that, it would be affordable for those that do not have a big church budget or the personal funds to pay for it. I love the way you are always trying to evolve and grow with what you are doing with this site.

  3. Interested and a needed resource even for us tenured guys. Everyone gets writers block. Seeing someone else’s hook and scriptural references can spark a great original sermon! I think $20 would be great for starters.

  4. Wow! Thank you, everyone, for all of your comments (and many emails too)! I will be updating you all later this week on this preaching team idea.

  5. I have seen and read stories on sites where authors uploaded stories that they wrote. The sites put them in categories according to criteria. Readers then go online and pick the stories they want to read and can download and read them.

I have never seen a site where pastors uploaded sermons for other pastors to read but if there are sites like that I would like to read some sermons.

A site like that would fit with your new service.

    1. Hi Anonymous, I believe Sermon Central does exactly what you’re proposing. Preachers from all over the world upload sermons word-for-word for others to read as resources. One pastor friend of mine rarely listens to others preach, but rather spends time reading sermons on that site. It’s helpful to him. Hope that is helpful.

  6. Interested. Would be great to have some zoom or video calls together as well. 🙂

  7. Great,

I have not started this journey of fully pastoring yet but I am interested because I am preacher. $20. will be my best.
Also, I have a subjective addition to this great ideas. How about adding creating a website for newly founded churches pastors can use to sub create a web page for their church and where others can upload sermons and share others opportunities or information with these pastors in needs of growing their Ministry from the ground.
